Sunday was filled with terrific weather, lots of laughs and great times with tough competition at the St. Petersburg North Shore 50-meter pool. Cape Coral swimmers continued to impress with their support for each other, and their ability to perform at a high level in a pool more than twice the length of the one they train in.
Zachary Baril (15) lowered his 400m Freestyle time to a “BB” 4:50.14 (-11.41) and 2:44.87 (-4.54) in the 200m I.M. (“B”),
Savannah Braun (13) shaved 1.58 seconds off her 50m Backstroke (40.79) and .61 off her time in the 100m Butterfly (1:37.26).
Kaylee Campbell (10) had first time swims in all three events, covering the 100m Backstroke in 2:02.84, the 100m Freestyle in 1:55.37, and the 50m Breaststroke in 1:30.89.
Faith Fuhrman (12) dropped over 23 seconds combined in her three event. Faith covered the 50m Butterfly with a “BB” 37.53 (-3.21), the 100m Freestyle in a “BB” 1:17.37 (-3.24) and in the 200m Individual Medley with a “B” 3:14.56 (-16.57).
Elijah Goins (12) improved his 100m Backstroke time to 1:37.52, his 100m Freestyle time to a “B” 1:19.48 (-5.00) and placed 9th with a “B” time of 3:24.25 (-24.38) in the 200m Individual Medley.
Melana Greene (13) dropped an amazing 30.86 seconds in the 400m Freestyle (5:09.04 – “A”), another 2.11 in the 100m Freestyle (1:06.17 – “AA”) and 5.67 in the 200m Individual Medley (2:47.18 – “A”)
Skylar Gusler (12) covered the 100m Backstroke in 1:31.10 (-6.20 –“B”), the 100m Freestyle in 1:14.95 (-2.16 – “BB”) and won the 50m Breaststroke in 40.54 (-1.77) (FLAG/”A”).
Annabelle Hazelwood (10) improved her time in the 50m Butterfly with a time of 51.08 (-3.01 –“B”) and finished 8th in the 200m Individual Medley with a time of 3:57.38 (“B”).
Ania Kokosinski (13) had first time swims in the 400m Freestyle (5:13.75 – “A”) and the 200m Breaststroke (3:17.49 – “B”). In the 200m Individual Medley, Ania stopped the clock at 2:46.29 (-35.67) for an “A” standard.
Alexis Marburger (11) was clocked in 1:31.85 (-9.78 – “B”) in the 100m Backstroke, dropped 8.29 seconds in the 100m Freestyle (1:23.64 – “B”) and lowered her time in the 50m Breaststroke to 53.07 (-2.06).
Riley McFarland (12) had a best time in the 100m Backstroke (1:33.82) dropping 8.09 – “B”, dropped 2.14 seconds in the 50m Butterfly (39.42 –“B”) and finished 8th in the 50m Breaststroke with a “BB” 43.57 (-4.36).
Josie Meyers (15) had a first time swim in the 200m Breaststroke, stopping the clock at 3:23.86 – “B”, lowered her 50m Breaststroke time to 45.27 (-4.04) and covered the 100m Freestyle in 1:16.74 (-11.99 –“B”).
Skye Persechino (9) lowered her 100m Backstroke time by 10.57 seconds to “BB” 1:43.39, knocked 5.90 seconds off her 100m Freestyle time with a “B” 1:32.95 and posted a “B” 55.99 in the 50m Breaststroke (-5.43).
Alex Rodriguez (12) lowered his 50m Butterfly time to “B” 40.29 (-7.86), improved his 50m Breaststroke time to 50.77 (-10.94) and finished 7th his first time swimming the 200m Individual Medley to 3:11.43 (“B”).
Hayden Tedhams (10) finished 4th in the 100m Backstroke as he lowered his best time to 1:28.70 (-.13 “A”/FLAG), took 2nd in the 50m Breaststroke with a “BB”/FLAG 47.07 (-1.97), and placed 4th in the 200m Individual Medley with a time of 3:10.46.
Taylor Tedhams (7) had first time swims in the 200m Freestyle (4:16.15) and 100m Backstroke (2:232.38). Taylor dropped 8.16 seconds in the 50m Breaststroke (1:16.45), finishing 5th overall.
