Our Swim-a-thon this year is scheduled for THIS WEEKEND! Yay!

Please remember to bring:

Sponsor forms, clipboard, pencil/pen, chair, sunblock and water and tents if you have them. Each swimmer will need to have an adult present to count laps for them. We are hoping for clear weather and a fun morning of swim. Please see below for the original email that was sent in May for more information.

Each swimmer on the team needs to raise $100. The money will be due by July 15th and it will be charged to your Active account on July 16th if you have not submitted cash or check (by submitting cash or check you avoid the Active fee).

Bronze 1, 2 ,3 : 9:30-11:30 am

What is a Swim-a-thon?

This is our second major fundraiser of the year. Swimmers attempt to complete 200 laps in 2 hours or less (for younger swimmers, their goal is to complete as many laps as they can in 2 hours). Prior to the event, they obtain sponsors. They can be sponsored “per lap” (make sure you tell the potential sponsor they are aiming for 200 laps) or they can ask for a lump sum donation (most common). Business sponsors are also welcomed!

Why have a Swim-a-thon? Participating in our Swim-a-Thon is a highly effective and FUN way to raise money.

What is our fundraising goal?

Each swimmer on the team needs to raise $100. This money helps our team attend competitive meets and run our high quality program at low monthly fees. We are also in need of new pool covers, so the money will help with that expense.

Where to start?

Attached in the email is the sponsorship form to get started. More emails about this fundraiser will be sent out over the next few weeks to help answer questions and give “fun-raising” suggestions.
