Southern Zone Age Group Championships Real Time Results

Day 1

   Jason is in Atlanta, Georgia, competing against the six region representatives from West Virginia, Georgia, North Carolina, Florida Swimming, Florida Gold Coast, Kentucky, South Texas, Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi, South Carolina, Gulf Coast (Texas) and North Texas.
   On the first day, Jason finished 9th in the 200m Freestyle and 7th in the 50m Breaststroke. He is scheduled to swim again on Friday (day 3).

Senior Championships
Day 1

Sarah Dostie started things off with a best time in the 800m Freestyle - 10:04.01 (-2.16).

Monica, then had her turn, posting a best time in the same event - 10:03.56 (-2.60).

Day 2

Jason placed 21st in the Senior 200m Breaststroke with a best time and Sectional cut of 2:24.73 (-3.31). He then swam to a best time in the Senior 400m I. M. - 5:13.45 (-6.23). Graham just missed a best time in the Senior 100m Fly - 1:01.71 (+.45).

Day 3

Ryan Cichiclo posted a best time of 27.94 in the 50m Freestyle.
Graham Murza had a best time and finished 15th in the 200m I.M. 2:20.13, and finished 20th in the 100m Backstroke with a best time of 1:04.24. Graham then split 56.91 for his leg of the 400m Freestyle Relay which finished in 9th place.

Junior Olympics
Day 1

Jason captured the gold medal in the 50m Breaststroke, setting a new Swim Florida team record of 35.64. This followed Jason's 3rd place finish in the 800m Free also with a team record time (9:24.19).

Sarah Dostie made finals for the first time, with personal best times in both the 800 and 100 meter Freestyles (10:06.17 and 1:04.58 respectively).

Shae Clifton finished 22nd overall in the 50m Breaststroke with a personal best time of 46.44

Monica Jaeger dropped 8.25 seconds in the 800m Free with a time of 10:06.16.

Collan Herby dropped 6.62 seconds with his time of 2:40.16 in the 200m Backstroke.

Jason earned the Bronze medal in the 200m Freestyle, lowering his best time for the second time in the day to 2:11.93. In the 100m Breaststroke, Jason took control early leading at the 50m mark (35.64 tying his best time) earning his second Gold medal with a Southern Sectional cut of 1:14.96 (the Florida State & JO record is 1:13.15). Jason also helped the 11 & 12 400m Medley relay (photo left) to a second place finish.

Sarah Dostie had two strong swims in the 200m Freestyle, earning a place in the consolation finals with a time of 2:21.69.

Shae Clifton continued her great JOs by knocking 5.39 seconds off her best time in the 100m Breaststroke posting a time of 1:38.60 and placing 12th overall.

Monica had a strong swim in the 100m Backstroke with a 1:15.95. In the 400m Freestyle, Sarah finished 10th with a best time of 4:52.49, and Jason finished 4th with a best time of 4:33.29. The Swim Florida 400m Free Relay was anchored by Jason who had a split of 1:01.77 and the team finished 2nd. Shae split 38.53 for her split on the 200m Free Relay.

Sarah swam herself into finals with a best time in the 50m Freestyle (30.36), and then dropped her time again in finals (30.33).
Monica posted 2:39.97 (-1.66) in the 200m I.M.
Collan had best times in the 200m I.M. (2:40.67), and the 100m Fly (1:10.09)
Shae split 39.29 for the Breaststroke leg on the 200m Medley Relay.
Andrew led off the 200m Medley relay with a best time of 36.85.
Jason had best times in both the prelims (2:29.73) and finals (2:26.85) for the 200m I.M. earning his third gold medal of the meet.
